About the event
Our Fourth of Ju-Luau & Beach Party is back for its 2nd installment on Saturday, June 29 from noon to 11 pm! Since nothing we do here makes any sense, we are celebrating at the end of June just because we can (and because we know all of you are taking an extended weekend the following week and clearing out of town). So let's pregame the Fourth of July like only Dade City Brew House can!
What do we have planned? Good question . . .
1. We are gonna celebrate America . . . and maybe get a jump on Canada Day while we are at. We can do both. Whatever works for us. Let's get weird. 2. We will be releasing a new beer . . . shhhhh, details to come 3. We will be running a little contest action during this event and there will be multiple ways to win gift cards throughout the day (each contest will depend on participation, 10 entries minimum for award payout): ~ Hawaiian Shirt/Floral Dress - Come in wearing your best Hawaiian shirt, floral print dress, muumuu, sarong, etc. This contest will go all day. Just let your bartender know you wanna enter, we will snap a photo, collect some info and then judge as a team after the event and notify winners. ~ Hawaiian-themed costume/Best Beach Garb - Do you have a killer Magnum PI get up? Does your little one think they are Moana or Maui? Get dressed up and same deal as above (please keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event all day, so please keep costumes tasteful). This contest will go all day. Just let your bartender know you wanna enter, we will snap a photo, collect some info and then judge as a team after the event and notify winners. ~ Limbo Contest - Do you have some limbo skills you have been dying to show off? Now is your time to shine. We will begin the contest at 530 p.m. Limbo contest is at your own risk, so make sure you stretch first. 4. Our neighbors at Uncle Fatty's will be running a Hawaiian-themed menu. More details to come. 5. Food Option #2 - TACOS: You may not know this about us, but a lot of us here have Mexican/Spanish ties in our families. So . . . we gotta have tacos at Fourth of Ju-Luau because it makes sense to us and we make the rules around here. Taco Cart is bringing that LEGIT Tacos al Pastor and a few other tasty taco treats. They will be set up out front all day or until gone. Let's eat some tacos, drink some beer and celebrate 'Murica! 6. We will have nothing but beachy/island tunes going for ya and the Magnum PI (the original) reruns will be on the tvs. Selleck, that stache, those shorts . . . perfection 7. We will have leis for guests and the place will be decorated with all the Hawaiian vibes
